My name is Teodora Rohacs and I’m 13 years old. I was born March 29, 1996. Until I was 3 years old, I lived in an orphanage on Vicentiu Babes Street because my mother abandoned me in the maternity ward at the hospital. In 1999, I was brought to Global Hope’s House of Hope with three other children; Flavius, Mircea and Gabi. We were the first four children to live there. I attended a Christian kindergarten called “David.”
When I was 7 years old I moved to Ana’s house and Tata Roni and Mama Rodi became my parents.
In 1st-4th grade I attended the Baptist grade school in Arad. After completing the exams I moved on to grades five and six and took Mathematics and Romanian. Now I am going into the 7th grade and my homeroom teacher is my History teacher.
In 2008 I won first place in the Arad Bible Olympics, a scripture memory competition. The theme of the contest was 1st and 2nd Kings, Mark, and Philippians. I had to learn 50 verses by heart, and be prepared to answer around 100 questions for every book. As the first-place winner, I got to go to the country finals in Austria. I took 8th place in the final competition.
I like to swim and play Frisbee, but my favorite thing to do is play volleyball. I am good at drawing and I want to develop that talent. When I grow up I want to be a doctor. Also, because I like to dance, I take dance lessons at the Children’s Cultural Palace in Arad. Tata Roni and Mama Rodi are extraordinary parents and I hope I stay with them forever.
