Praise & Prayer – May 2016
“Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.” 1 Chronicles 16:11
This month remember the fatherless in your prayers.
God, we cry out today for those who are forgotten, neglected, alone. We know that You are the Protector of the weak, the Shelter for the cold, and that in You – because of grace – we are adopted! So, train our hearts to beat as Yours, cause our eyes to see as Yours, and move our hands to act as Yours.
Here are some specific Global Hope prayer requests that we can pray together:
PRAY for four of the children in our Romanian Foster Families: Marian, Simon, Vasi and Cristina (Balas). They will be taking their 8th grade exam in early June. This is hugely important in determining what high school they go to, or if they even get to go to high school (if they don’t pass, they will be considering a trade school).
PRAY for the upcoming health clinic that will be held at KEL in India. Besides serving the children living at the KEL Home, poor children in the community are also welcome to get an exam. They hope to serve about 70 children in total. Please pray for all these children’s health.
PRAY for the children at HOREC and Spring Valley; that they would find strength in the Lord to overcome the great obstacles they face due to their poverty and/or their status as an orphan. Pray they will have confidence and courage in all they put their mind to do.
PRAISE! Global Hope’s 6th Annual Banquet was a huge success despite the snow storm. Over $65,000 was raised and because the event was 100% sponsored, all of this will go directly to the care of the children!
