Praise & Prayer – September 2016
Praise & Prayer
“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.” 1 Timothy 2:1
This month please remember the caregivers in your prayers.
Father, draw near to those who minister
To children that have lost their parents
Or have been abandoned by them.
May those caregivers pour out your mercy
Upon those whom they serve.
Fill these caregivers with your Holy Spirit
that they may go forth in your strength,
in your wisdom and in your goodness
to do your holy will among those in need of help.
Revive their spirits, Lord,
when they are discouraged and weary
and allow them to be mindful
of your presence and your faithfulness
in every situation. Amen
Here are some specific Global Hope prayer requests that we can pray together:
PRAY for the mission trip team headed to India Sept 26 through Oct 6 who will visit and serve the children at KEL, Hope Boys’ Home, Hope Girls’ Home and Prema Girls’ Home. May God grant them good health and safety as they share God’s love with each of the children and staff members.
PRAY for the mission trip team that is preparing to head to Kenya Oct 20 through Oct 31. Some of the team members will be providing training to the staff on how to help and work with children who have trauma in their background. Other team members will coordinate fun activities with the children. Pray the team is well prepared to serve and meet the needs of staff and children at HOREC and Spring Valley.
PRAY for the 8th grade students in Kenya who are starting to study for the national exam that takes place in just over a month. This is a very important exam that determines the future of their education and whether or not they can attend high school.
PRAY for the new little girls at Prema Girls’ Home in India. They are still getting used to their surroundings and adjusting to the new schedules, especially with school.
PRAY for the kids in Romania as they all head back to school. Pray that they can stay focused on their studies and not get discouraged when lessons are difficult. Also, pray for the tutors that will be helping the children not fall behind—may they be encouragers to the kids.
