A message from our partner at Spring Valley Children’s Center in Kenya:
It is a very happy Monday here in Spring Valley because God heard our prayers and all the political demonstrations slated for today were called off by the opposition leaders in Kenya. President Ruto yesterday offered an olive branch to the opposition leader, Raila Odinga, by inviting him for some talks to see how they can move Kenya forward without any more political upheaval and violent protests. It is a peaceful Monday all over the country and here in Spring Valley the children and staff are all studying and working without fear of violent demonstrations and demonstrators disrupting the day.
The children and staff feel that this is an added blessing since this is Easter week and we were worried that the demonstrations would cast a shadow on one of the most important weeks in Christianity.
We have been praying hard here in Spring Valley for the demonstrations to end and we want to express our deepest gratitude to you our dear partners for supporting us with your prayers and expressing your concern for the children and staff. May the Lord bless each one of you in a mighty way for all you do for a child in Spring Valley.
