Hi, my name is Oana, and I spent a significant part of my childhood at Ana’s House (Arad, Romania), part of Global Hope.
Looking back, I can see I was a blessed child. Being raised by Mama Rodi and Tata Roni changed my life. I had the right to a normal life. I still remember the first time I saw them.
For me, Ana’s House was more than just a place to stay. It was a stable, safe, and secure environment where I felt like I belonged. Knowing that I had a support system gave me the foundation I needed to focus on my future.
I was fortunate to have access to great educational opportunities while I lived at Ana’s House. The support I received allowed me to pursue my studies, and I developed valuable skills that later helped me in my career.
During my time there, I learned so many important life skills—how to manage my time, budget, and take care of myself. These are skills that I still rely on every day and I want to thank my parents every day. I will go to visit them in November.
Today, I’m proud to say that I work as a recruitment specialist in a multinational corporation and I’m building a life that I couldn’t have imagined without the support I received. I live in Portugal and I have a beautiful 7-year-old daughter. I’m also surrounded by a wonderful family and continue to grow personally and professionally.
I truly believe that I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of Ana’s House and Global Hope. The stability, education, and guidance I received shaped the person I’ve become, and I’m forever grateful for the opportunities it provided.
