We are excited to announce the grand opening of the new John Foundation campus in India.
Over 1100 people attended the grand opening celebration on April 5th. Notable guests included our own Global Hope Executive Director, Sara Hendren, Rev. Dr. Arlene Stubbs, Founder and Senior Pastor of New Life Assemblies of God Church, Dr. Chiranjivi, Founder and Head of Seva Bharat and Mission India, Rev. Timothy Rao, Head of AG churches in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state, and many others .
Campus Construction Status
Completed Buildings:
- Two blocks with 20 children’s homes
- Auditorium with 650 seating capacity
- Dining hall for 300 people
- Mini hall for 300 people
- School for 800 students
- Skills training center for 1350 people per year
- Generator room
- RO plant
- Six support staff quarters
The completed buildings include five new Global Hope children’s homes: Bonnie Girls, Deborah Girls, Evans Girls, Grant Boys, and Stephen Boys Homes. The girls at Deborah Girls home have been living together at the Medchal campus and will move to the new campus in June.
Under Construction:
- Four blocks with 40 children’s homes, to be completed by October 2025
- Commercial building for a supermarket and motorbike sales and service center, to be completed by December 2025
Third Phase:
- Starting end of 2026 or 2027, including a nursing college and a hospital
Moving and Operational Dates
Children’s Homes:
- Staff and children will start moving in at the end of April 2025
Child Selection:
- Most children are already selected for the new homes, with a few more still to be recruited
House Moms:
- Interviews are ongoing, and hiring will be finalized soon
Programs:
- Skills training programs will be operational from the first week of June
School:
- The school will be ready for the new school year starting the second week of June. Teachers are already recruited and will report for work on June 1st.
